I studied photo journalism at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City 1989-90. In 1991 while working as a still photographer for the United Nations Special Commission on Iraq (UNSCOM) I was handed an 8 mm video camera. My assignment was to document the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Inspections in Iraq. Over five years I shoot the destruction of SCUD missiles, chemical weapons (wearing full protective gear including gas mask) or leaned out the side door of a helicopter with hand held gyro stabilized cameras. Some of footage was released by the UN and used by CNN, NBC, BBC and PBS in documentaries. Since, I have continued to work in toxic environments as well as on the street. With such experience I do not hesitate to take on your assignment. Today's technology with 1080p HD and laptop editing is still dependant on the story and everyone has one. Let me capture yours.
